چکیده
Nowadays, plenty of sensitive electronic devices are installed in secondary circuits substations. When lightning strikes a substation and transmission line, currents flow into the grounding structure through shield wires surge arresters primary circuit, overvoltages induced on control cables circuit owing to effect transient ground potential rises electromagnetic coupling. Shielded one countermeasures against overvoltage cables; thus, it is useful evaluate effectiveness shielded for designing protection measures properly. Recently, finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method, which full-wave numerical approaches, has been commonly used simulating phenomena structures, such as grids In this work, first, we studied modeling tape-type substations FDTD-based analyses. Then, using cable model, simulated test platform calculated response grid voltages when impulse current was injected grid. We then compared results with measured waveforms validation.

متن کاملLightning Protection of Ehv Substations in Iran
Extra high voltage (EHV) substations are extremely vulnerable to the hazard of lightning strokes therefore, the shielding of these substations with a highly reliable protective scheme (shield wires) is an essential undertaking. In this paper an attempt is made to clarify the design procedure for shielding EHV substations against lightning with special reference to Iran.

Two main causes of such induced voltages in the shield are: time-varying magnetic flux and potential difference at the cable connections with the earthing system. It has been shown in that both components of the voltage along shield, due to ground potential difference and field coupling, are significant and moreover that they cancel each other. As a consequence, it is possible to optimize the d...

This paper presents the numerical simulations of a direct lightning stroke into an open air HV (high-voltage) substation. Lightning current flowing through the conductive earthed structures over the ground and in grounding grids induced transients in low-voltage control cables. In calculation the different striking points, soil parameters and arrangements of cables have been taken into account.
